  7. APPLEBY Technologies' SafeNet is an idea development platform for new
  8. applications using a distributed processing architecture, or for the migration
  9. of existing applications under a rightsizing program.  SafeNet is available
  10. for all UNIX hardware and software platforms using TCP/IP under Ethernet or
  11. Token Ring.  Other platforms will be available later this year.  SafeNet
  12. provides proven continuous processing for all applications on the network,
  13. from the largest server to the smallest end-user workstation.  SafeNet is not
  14. based on simple hardware mirroring or redundancy.  It uses a sophisticated
  15. network umbrella that knows about each network component, when it fails, how
  16. to continue processing in the event of a failure, and maintains dynamic load
  17. balancing and synchronization of services, including SQL servers.  SafeNet
  18. permits fault tolerance and hence high availability of applications in an
  19. Ethernet TCP/IP based distributed computing environment, even when the network
  20. components and its databases are globally dispersed.
